Southern Selvedge-ation : Raleigh Denim
John
Denim disciples, Sarah & Victor, and three other vintage machine-smiths are making mean jeans in their work shop exclusively from goodies found in denim's tierra sagrada, North Carolina. Raleigh Denim is a small purveyor of beautiful hand made blue jeans. We are stoked to stock two styles: 'The Original' and 'The Edmund'...
The Original (below). It is a Cone - White Oak deep indigo selvage denim with a sulfur dye so it wears in greenish-brown.
In the photo, from left to right: 1) Raw (never been worn, never been washed) 2) worn 6 months, no wash 3) worn one year, one wash
The Edmund (below). It is Cone - White Oak - Black Seed Pima cotton selvage denim. The Black Seed Pima cotton is the American equivalent to Egyptian cotton; the individual fibers in the thread are longer so the fabric is both softer and stronger. It is over-dyed black and is Sanforized upside-down so that it has a sheen. This also means that it has four distinct layers of wear. It will go from shiny black to flat black to blue to white. It is really beautiful, limited edition denim.

also, we aim to get women's styles + some ab fits exclusives.
