The Award Jacket features a rare double-woven melton fabric with only the warp having two layers. For multicolor weaving, a rapier loom was used instead of a shuttle loom to express the deep colors in the fabric. In order to create a classic look from the early 1900s, Jackman didn't use full-filling to create a texture that removes oil. The raw material wool is scraps and leftover yarn from textile manufacturing factories in Japan, as well as old clothes collected in Japan, which are selected for material and color one by one, and then spun using a special machine to create the ultimate sustainable wool.
